20 RFAs Remain Unsigned: The Full List

After the signings on Wednesday of Cole Sillinger of the Columbus Blue Jackets, and Alex Steeves by the Toronto Maple Leafs, we are left with 20 restricted free agents still without a contract, as of Wednesday evening. Some are more worrisome than others for fans of the respective teams.

Let's have a look at the complete list:

Goalies

  • Erik Portillo, LA Kings
  • Jeremy Swayman, Boston
Swayman is one of the top young goaltenders in the league, already with a share of the Jennings Trophy on his resume, and now the full No. 1 job with the Boston Bruins. He has reaffirmed his commitment to the Bruins this summer, and doesn't seem too concerned about not having a new contract done yet. But that hasn't stopped fans from worrying.

Defense
  • Marc Del Gaizo, Nashville
  • Thomas Harley, Dallas
  • Moritz Seider, Detroit
  • Victor Soderstrom, Utah
  • Ilya Solovyov, Calgary
The former Calder Trophy winner Seider jumps out as the biggest name on the blueline, and last week, a Red Wings fan poll showed that more than 55% of Detroit fans were either "mildly or very concerned", or, all-out "panicking".
And yes, that poll also included Wings' fans concern over forward Lucas Raymond, the brand new 30+ goal scorer, also still being without a deal. The former No. 4 overall pick (2020 NHL Draft) is one of a handful of standout names on the long list of forwards still waiting for an offer they can't refuse.

Forwards
  • Nikita Alexandrov, St. Louis
  • Jonatan Berggren, Detroit
  • Seth Jarvis, Carolina
  • Arthur Kaliyev, LA Kings
  • Peyton Krebs, Buffalo
  • Dawson Mercer, New Jersey
  • Juuso Parssinen, Nashville
  • Jakob Pelletier, Calgary
  • Cole Perfetti, Winnipeg
  • Lucas Raymond, Detroit
  • Nicholas Robertson, Toronto
  • Cole Schwindt, Calgary
  • Philip Tomasino, Nashville
Seth Jarvis is the other 30-goal scorer on this list, and is a key part of the Hurricanes' offense after only his third season. He finished with 33 goals and 67 points, both second-best on the club. The Canes have $6.4 million in cap space available at the moment. It's doubtful that will be enough to get it done with Jarvis on a long-term deal. It was three weeks ago that a report indicated that "
real momentum is being made towards an 8-year extension" with Jarvis. But as of now, still crickets out of Carolina.
We noted a couple of days back that Dawson Mercer and the Devils are at least getting closer to an agreement.

We'll keep an eye on these 20 RFAs as we get closer to training camp, just a few weeks away now.
