3 Players Entering Final Season With Vancouver Canucks

The Vancouver Canucks definitely took a step back this offseason by losing some important pieces, but they should still be competitive. While the team likely adds before the deadline, next offseason will see some more players leave, this time less impactful than the ones that jumped ship this offseason.

Daniel Sprong

The Canucks got a great deal on Daniel Sprong and the player has once again been undervalued by what he brings to the table, For two seasons in a row, he has played bottom-6 minutes and been able to produce great numbers offensively for who he plays with and how little he plays. He may get a better chance this season with the wings of the Canucks looking a little weaker. If he can just play how he did with the Seattle Kraken and Detroit Red Wings each of the past two seasons, teams should finally realize that he deserves more money and be all over signing him. Vancouver will probably not be able to keep him if that's the case.

Tucker Poolman

Tucker Poolman has played three games in the past two seasons and will likely miss most or all of this season as well. It is an unfortunate turn of events in his career and for the Canucks losing someone who's effective, but in the final year of his deal, there's really no reason for Vancouver to bring him back to be disappointed again by not getting any games out of him.

Pius Suter

Pius Suter is in the second year of a two-year deal with the Canucks and is likely moving on after the season. There are a good amount of prospects who will be looking to capture roles on the team this season and some are likely to emerge as strong options to fill a bottom-6 spot on the team throughout this season. Suter isn't bad, but after 14 goals and 29 points in 68 games last season, he will be looking for more than a fourth line role and should be able to find it elsewhere.
