Report: 3 Teams Showing Interest in Free-Agent Filip Zadina

According to hockey insider Kevin Weekes, free-agent forward Filip Zadina has a few teams who are showing interest as training camp approaches.

Zadina and his reps are hopeful he can land a one-way NHL contract, meanwhile there's still a chance he'll have to settle for a professional tryout agreement. Zadina, 24, is a former 2018 first-round pick of the Detroit Red Wings, sixth overall. He spent last season with the San Jose Sharks where he appeared in 72 games, scoring 13 goals and finishing the year with 23 points.

Zadina also accumulated a - 44 +/- rating, which although he was on a dismal Sharks team, is certainly an area of concern for onlooking teams as he sits unsigned for next season.

After spending six seasons with the Red Wings organization and one season with the Sharks, Zadina has dressed in 262 NHL games, scoring 41 goals and adding 50 assists. Needless to say he hasn't lived up to the hype of being a top-10 pick, however considering his age, in the right situation, there's still time for him to jumpstart his NHL career.

Based on Weekes' report, where will Zadina land? Let us know your prediction in the comments.
