Utah HC: 2 Breakout Candidates for Next Season

With each season that passes, it seems that every NHL team has at least one player break out and become a crucial part of their roster. The 2024-25 season should offer more of the same, so we here at NHL Trade Rumors will be looking at a few breakout candidates from each NHL club heading into the new campaign.

In this latest edition of the series, we will take a look at the NHL's newest team - the Utah Hockey Club.

Josh Doan:  Josh Doan left an excellent first impression when he joined the Arizona Coyotes during the final stretch of the year. In 11 games, the Scottsdale, Arizona native recorded five goals and nine points. Overall, it nothing short of a great start to the youngster's career, and now he will look to build off with Utah from here. The potential for him to be a strong offensive contributor is there, and it is hard not to feel some excitement about him heading into the new campaign because of it.

Dylan Guenther: Dylan Guenther took a nice step forward last season and showed that he has the potential to be a star. In 45 games with the Coyotes, he had 18 goals and 35 points. He notably ended the season on a real heater, too, as he posted 18 points in his final 17 contests. Clearly, the 2021 ninth-overall pick ended the year on a new level, and now he will look to break out into a legitimate star during the 2024-25 season from here.
