3 Potential Trade Destinations for Ducks' Frank Vatrano

Anaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano was a very popular player in the rumor mill leading up to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. A deal centering around him did not come to fruition, but this has the potential to change this season. He is entering the final season of his contract and could be a valuable trade chip for the Ducks at the deadline because of it. Let's go over three teams who could look to add him this season now.

Boston Bruins: The Boston Bruins could look to reunite with Vatrano this season. They lost Jake DeBrusk this offseason and did not find a definite replacement for him. Vatrano would change things on that front, as he showed last season that he can be a very impactful top-six winger. Thus, if the Bruins are in the playoff hunt near the deadline, seeing them target Vatrano would not be surprising.

Colorado Avalanche: The Colorado Avalanche have been connected to Vatrano in the past. It is understandable, as they could use some help on the wing and need more scoring in their middle six. Vatrano would give them not only that but also more bite in the process.

New York Islanders: The New York Islanders have had Vatrano on their radar in the past, and it would make sense for them to look to add him again this season. Even after adding Anthony Duclair in free agency, they still could use another scorer in their top six. Thus, if the Islanders are in the playoff race this season, a Vatrano addition could make sense for them.
