3 Winnipeg Jets Prospects Expected To Get NHL Playing Time In 2024-25

The Winnipeg Jets may not be as good this season, but they have always been a strong organization at drafting and developing talent. That hasn't changed as there are some talented young players on the way that should see some NHL action this season. These three players are chomping at the bits to get into the Jets lineup and earn a more stable role.

Brad Lambert

Brad Lambert was passed on in the draft by a lot of teams and he is proving everyone else wrong. Post-draft, he proceeded to put up very good numbers in his final WHL season and then his first in the AHL with the Manitoba Moose. He has elite skill and scored 21 goals and 55 points as a rookie last season. Lambert got an assist in his first NHL game with the Jets and continues to impress. He is still in the running for an opening night roster spot in Winnipeg. Whether he earns it or not, he will play more than one game this season for the Jets.

Nikita Chibrikov

Nikita Chibrikov was also a rookie in the AHL last season after coming over from Russia. He did well, scoring 17 goals and 47 points in 70 games while also earning one game with the Jets. He scored in that contest and the 21-year-old should get another small trial in the bottom-6 this season. A handful of everyday Jets are injury-prone and the team needs some life injected into the forward group. Chibrikov can be just that late in the season.

Chaz Lucius

Chaz Lucius has had no luck staying healthy in his young career, but that hasn't stopped him from being effective when he is in the lineup. While only getting into 17 games for Manitoba last season, he still recorded 13 points. He also has elite skill, but if manages to stay healthy for most of the season and continues to play well, the Jets may give him a small trial like Lambert and Chibrikov got last season.
