Anaheim Ducks Bringing In 3 Players on PTOs

According to hockey insider Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff, the Anaheim Ducks have just added to their training camp roster by no less than three players, signing a trio of free agents to PTOs.

Mark Pysyk, Boris Katchouk and Gustav Lindstrom have all been invited to Ducks camp starting next week on professional tryouts.

Pysyk, 32, a right-shot defenseman, returned to playing last year after missing the previous season due to an Achilles injury. After seven mostly full seasons in the NHL, he spent 2023-24 in the American Hockey League, split between the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and the Calgary Wranglers.

Katchouk, 26, split last season between the Chicago Blackhawks and the Ottawa Senators, who had claimed him on waivers.  He recorded seven goals and six assists for 13 points in 59 games. The three-year veteran forward was a second-round pick by Tampa Bay in 2016, and has 36 points in 176 NHL games.

Lindstrom, 25, another right-shot defenseman, was also a second-round pick (in 2017). He split last year between the the Montreal Canadiens and the Ducks, and registered 10 points in 46 games with a +12 rating. In 174 NHL games, he has 35 points.
