Breaking: Max Pacioretty Officially Confirmed To Be At Maple Leafs Camp

We've heard the talk for a couple of days, now it's official: career 330-goal scorer Max Pacioretty will be at Toronto Maple Leafs camp on a PTO.

Although it's just a professional tryout offer for now, all signs point to a standard player's contract being signed before the season begins, unless things go completely awry.

Pacioretty played 47 games for the Washington Capitals last season, joining the team in January after missing almost the entire previous year due to his second Achilles tear. He found the net just four times in those 47 contests, but was trying to regain his form all season long.

At the age of 35, the Leafs will see what this eight-time 20-goal scorer still has in the tank.

Patches joins the ranks of left-wingers on the team that includes Matthew Knies, Bobby McMann and Nick Robertson.

Pacioretty spent the first 10 years of his career with the Montreal Canadiens, reaching the 30-goal mark five times with them, before moving on to the Vegas Golden Knights for four years where he added three more 20+ goal seasons, and it would have been a 4th if not for his first Achilles tear.

His 2022-23 was a virtual write-off, getting into only five games with the Carolina Hurricanes.

In 902 career games across 16 seasons, Pacioretty has 330 goals and 338 assists for 668 points along with a plus/minus rating of +55.
