Filip Zadina Signs With New Team for 2024-25

As the former No. 6 overall selection in the NHL draft (2018), Filip Zadina never lived up to the promise in his six NHL seasons. Several teams were said to be working to sign him ahead of training camp, including the Toronto Maple Leafs and MontrΓ©al Canadiens. But Zadina has chosen to leave the NHL to sign a deal in Switzerland.

Zadina has inked a two-year contract with HC Davos.

The 24-year-old spent his first five seasons in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings, and last year with the San Jose Sharks. Overall, he recorded just 41 goals and 91 points in 262 games with a plus/minus rating of -95.

More to come...
