Los Angeles Kings: 2 Bounce-Back Candidates for Next Season

Each year, we see players around the NHL bounce back from rough seasons. The 2024-25 campaign should offer more of the same, so in this latest series for NHL Trade Rumors, we will take a look at a few bounce-back candidates from every NHL club.

In this latest edition of the series, we will be taking a look at the Los Angeles Kings.

Darcy Kuemper: The Kings made a big move when they traded Pierre-Luc Dubois to the Washington Capitals for Darcy Kuemper. With the Kings needing help between the pipes, they are hoping that Kuemper can bounce back from what was a down year for the veteran. In 33 games last season, he had an .890 save percentage and a 3.31 goals-against average. However, when noting that he is a former All-Star with a Stanley Cup on his resume, he certainly can turn things back around during his second stint as a King.

Tanner Jeannot: Tanner Jeannot is another Kings newcomer who has the potential to bounce back this upcoming season. The gritty forward struggled this past season with the Tampa Bay Lightning, as he had seven goals, 14 points, and a minus-10 rating in 55 games. He will now look to get back to his previous form and improve his offensive numbers in LA. As a rookie in 2021-22 with the Nashville Predators, he had 24 goals and 41 points in 81 games.
