Maple Leafs Rumors: Analyst Calls On Toronto To Bring Back James Van Riemsdyk
Being blessed with great height and arm length, James van Riemsdyk was able to pull off some impressive plays with the puck. Part of that was strong hand-eye coordination, demonstrated in this goal against the Penguins from 2017. #LeafsForever pic.twitter.com/kbqX4O1WU6

Van Riemsdyk is coming off a solid season with the Boston Bruins, where he recorded 11 goals and 27 assists for 38 points in 71 games.
Corrado sees the veteran winger as a smart, cost-effective addition for the Leafs, especially with the team needing depth scoring and cap space being limited.
With the uncertain future of restricted free agent Nick Robertson, the Leafs are exploring options at left wing, and Corrado believes van Riemsdyk’s leadership and ability to deliver in clutch situations could give the team an edge in the postseason.
Although other free agents, like Max Pacioretty, have been linked to the Leafs, Corrado insists van Riemsdyk’s familiarity with the organization and the Toronto market makes him an appealing choice.
