Ottawa Senators Sign Dustin Tokarski To PTO

The Ottawa Senators have brought in a veteran netminder for some depth in the crease, signing Dustin Tokarski to a PTO.

The 35-year-old goalie has played parts of nine seasons in the NHL, though did not suit up at the top level in 2023-24.

He'll join his former teammate Linus Ullmark, as the two shared the crease in Buffalo with the Sabres in 2020-21. Ullmark started 20 games that season for the Sabres, and Tokarski started in 10, appearing in 13.

Tokarski spent all of last season with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League, where he registered an 11-9-3 record to go with a 3.32 goals-against average and an .897 save percentage.

Overall, in 80 NHL appearances, for the Montreal Canadiens, Tampa Bay Lightning, the Sabres, Anaheim Ducks, and Pittsburgh Penguins, he's posted a 3.15 GAA with a .902 Sv%, while recording a 23-24-12 mark.

He'll get a chance to compete for a roster spot on the Sens behind his old pal Ullmark, with the likes of Anton ForsbergLeevi MerilainenMichael Simpson and Mads Sogaard
