Report: Nashville Predators to re-sign Juuse Parssinen to one-year contract

According to hockey insider Elliotte Friedman, the Nashville Predators and restricted free-agent forward Juuso Parssinen are working on a one-year, one-way contract for the 2024-25 season.

Parssinen, 23, was originally a 2019 seventh-round pick. He appeared in 44 games with the Predators last season, scoring eight goals and tallying 12 points. Parssinen also played 36 games for the Milwaukee Admiral's of the American Hockey League, collecting 25 points in 35 games, along with nine points in 14 Calder Cup Playoff games.

The Predators currently have $2.27 million in cap space as GM Barry Trotz has been busy re-tooling on the fly, including bringing in Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Marchessault and trading goalie prospect Yaroslav Askarov.

Parssinen is expected to battle for a bottom-six role with the Preds this season. He has a history of playing some second power-play minutes and will look to improve in the faceoff circle to stick around Nashville in 2024-25.
