Winnipeg Jets' Logan Stanley to Undergo Knee Surgery
Winnipeg Jets head coach Scott Arniel told reporters that defenseman Logan Stanley is set to undergo knee surgery and will miss the next four weeks at least because of it.
This is certainly tough news for Stanley, as he is one of the defenders fighting for a spot in the Jets' defensive group. However, he is now instead forced to miss a decent chunk of time and will miss the beginning of Winnipeg's season.

Stanley, 26, played in 25 games for the Jets this past season, where he had one goal to go along with one assist, 36 penalty minutes, 45 hits, and a plus-4 rating. Overall, the Waterloo, Ontario native served as a decent depth defender for the Jets last season, so losing him for multiple weeks is not particularly ideal for the Jets.
Stanley was selected by the Jets with the 18th overall pick of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-7 defenseman has since appeared in 139 regular-season games over four seasons with the Jets, where he has four goals, 18 assists, 22 points, and a plus-17 rating. He also has played in 12 playoff games with the Jets, where he has two goals, two assists, and a plus-4 rating.
Here's to hoping that Stanley has a speedy recovery and suffers no setbacks along the way.
