NHL Rumors: 2 Players Who Could Resurface In Trade Rumors This Season
Frank Vatrano and Nikolaj Ehlers are two players who could resurface in trade rumors this season, according to Joe Yerdon of Bleacher Report.
Both wingers are on expiring contracts, making them intriguing options for teams looking to strengthen their rosters ahead of the March 7 trade deadline. As Yerdon explains, "both could become hot commodities" for contenders seeking scoring depth.

Vatrano, a key veteran for the Anaheim Ducks, has been a strong presence alongside young talents like Leo Carlsson and Trevor Zegras.
However, if Anaheim struggles to stay in the playoff race, Vatrano’s $3.65 million cap hit and scoring prowess—described as "a wicked sniper and scorer"—could make him a prime trade target for teams looking to balance out their offense.
Yerdon suggests, "the Ducks could attract many suitors" for the winger if they decide to sell at the deadline.

Meanwhile, Ehlers is a critical part of the Winnipeg Jets' offense, but his expiring contract keeps him in the rumor mill.
With the Jets aiming for a playoff run, Yerdon notes, "As long as Winnipeg is in the hunt, they’re likely to keep Ehlers."
However, if the team’s fortunes take a downturn, his speed and scoring ability would draw significant interest from contenders eager to bolster their forward group.
