Pittsburgh Penguins Make Big Decision With Tristan Jarry

The Pittsburgh Penguins have announced that goaltender Tristan Jarry has been assigned to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, on a conditioning loan.
Jarry, 29, was sent back to Pittsburgh on Friday (Oct. 25) by the Penguins to work with goaltending coach Jon Elkin. Now, Jarry is heading to the AHL to work on regaining his form.

Jarry has a tough start to the season, as he has a 1-1-0 record, a .836 save percentage (SV%), and a 5.47 goals-against average (GAA) in three appearances. He also struggled this past season with the Pens, recording a 19-25-5 record, a 2.91 GAA, and a .903 SV%.

This conditioning loan with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton has the potential to benefit Jarry. He will now have the opportunity to try to build his confidence back up down in the AHL before returning to Pittsburgh. We will need to wait and see how this decision impacts Jarry from here.

In 260 career games with the Penguins over nine seasons, Jarry has a 137-86-25 record, a 2.72 GAA, and a .911 SV%.
