Islanders Rumors: 3 Potential Trade Destinations for Brock Nelson

The New York Islanders are off to a disappointing start this season, as their 5-6-2 record demonstrates. Due to this, trade rumors surrounding pending UFA Brock Nelson have been increasing rapidly. If the Islanders officially end up shopping Nelson, look for these three teams to be in the mix. 

Winnipeg Jets

The Jets could be a team to watch very closely if Nelson becomes available. They are on fire right now, winning 12 out of their first 13 games. Due to this, they should be aggressive on the trade market this year, and Nelson would give their top six a nice boost. 

Washington Capitals

It has been excellent start to the season for the Capitals, and they could be on the hunt for forward help once we get closer to the deadline. Nelson would fit nicely in their top six, whether he plays down the middle or on the wing. Thus, the Caps could be a team to watch if Nelson becomes available. 

Colorado Avalanche 

The Avalanche have been connected to Nelson in the past, so they would be another club to watch if he becomes available. The Avalanche have been looking to add forwards, and Nelson would be a big-time addition to their group because of it.
