Predators Rumors: Dante Fabbro Resurfacing In Trade Rumors
Sitting at the bottom of the Central Division with a 4-9-1 record, the Predators have struggled to find consistency.
General Manager Barry Trotz has hinted at the possibility of a rebuild if the team doesn't improve soon, saying, “If we don’t get it going, then I’m going to start our rebuild plan a little bit.”
While some see this as a strategic “wake-up call” for the roster, others believe it signals genuine changes on the horizon, with Fabbro emerging as one of the top trade candidates.
I haven’t said much on the coaching since I’m on team “it’s the players job to execute” but I do have to question playing Luke Schenn both games of a traveling back to back with a healthy Dante Fabbro available. #Preds #Smashville

Fabbro, a 26-year-old right-shot defenseman in the final year of his contract, has been sidelined in favor of veteran Luke Schenn, playing just six of Nashville's 14 games and averaging a career-low 13:06 of ice time.
His limited usage suggests he may not be in the Predators' long-term plans, particularly with young defensemen like Marc Del Gaizo and Ryan Ufko waiting in the wings.
"The kid would blossom with a fresh start and change of scenery," a source told RG.org, indicating that Fabbro’s potential could be better realized in a different environment.
Despite his minimal role, Fabbro’s $2.5 million cap hit and reputation as a reliable second-pairing defenseman make him an intriguing option for teams seeking depth on the blue line.
Hear me out, Bob.

With Nashville's crowded defensive corps and Trotz's openness to future roster changes, the upcoming two-week Western Canada road trip could be pivotal for both Fabbro and the coaching staff.
If the Predators continue to struggle, trade talks are likely to escalate, and Fabbro could be on the move to make space for younger players.
