Tanner Jeannot Hit With Suspension For Illegal Hit to the Head
It was a dangerous high hit to the head, and it earned the Los Angeles Kings' Tanner Jeannot a match penalty. Now, the NHL's Department of Player Safety has weighed in and come down with a three-game suspension to Jeannot for the illegal hit on the Vancouver Canucks' Brock Boeser.

Jeannot delivers a blindside shoulder to the chin of the unsuspecting Boeser, who was forced to leave the game, as he was clearly dazed when he got up. Sources told the Vancouver Province that the Canucks forward is dealing with a concussion.
"The head is the main point of contact," ruled the DoPS. "Jeannot's shoulder makes direct and forceful contact with Boeser's head... and is avoidable... If Jeannot wants to deliver this check, he must stay low and take an angle that hits through Boeser's shoulder and core."
Boeser has six goals and 11 points in 12 games so far this season, coming off his breakthrough 40-goal campaign last year.
Jeannot leads the NHL in penalty minutes this season with 36, and he will have to face the music on the ice when the Kings next visit the Canucks in Vancouver, on January 16th.
