TRADE: Lars Eller On The Move Back To Familiar Surroundings
The first shoe has dropped in Pittsburgh, where the Penguins have been due for some changes. They have traded veteran Lars Eller back to a familiar place, sending him to the Washington Capitals.

Eller will always be remembered in D.C. for scoring the Stanley Cup-winning goal for Washington in 2018.

He had a tremendous playoff run that season, with 18 points in 24 games with a plus/minus rating of +6, playing 17 minutes per game.
Now, 35, Eller spent seven seasons with the Caps, in the prime of his career. He was dealt from Washington to the Colorado Avalanche two seasons ago, then spent last season with the Penguins.
This year, he had 7 points in 17 games for the struggling Pens, playing 16:25 per night.
