Video: Kings' Tanner Jeannot ejected for ugly hit on Canucks' Brock Boeser
Los Angeles Kings' forward Tanner Jeannot received a match penalty on Thursday, after delivering an ugly head shot on Vancouver Canucks' forward Brock Boeser.
Boeser left the game and did not return and the Canucks are hoping to have an update on his availability over the weekend. Jeannot, who has been fined for kneeing in the past, has been trying to make an impression on the Kings' coaching staff, but unfortunately, this incident going to have some consequences.
Jeannot was acquired by the Kings this past offseason, after the Lightning traded for the pesky winger from then Nashville Predators, in what's looking like one of the more lopsided trades in NHL history.
The Canucks didn't let Boeser's absence slow them down any, collecting a 4-2 victory of the Kings, extending their winning streak to three games.
