In addition, the Ducks will be retaining 38.5% of Fowler's $6.5 million cap hit until the end of the 2025-26 season.
Fowler, 33, has been the subject of trade rumors this past off-season, and now it appears that his time with the Ducks is coming to an end. This is certainly major news, as he has spent the entirety of his 15-year NHL career as a member of the Ducks.
The Blues have been rumored to be interested in Fowler in the past. It is understandable, as their blueline could use some help on the left side, and Fowler has the potential to provide just that.
Fowler has appeared in 17 games this season with the Ducks, where he has four assists, 29 blocks, and a minus-7 rating.
This story will be updated as more information regarding the expected trade is announced.
