Ducks Rumors: Update On Trade Rumors Surrounding Frank Vatrano
Trade rumors surrounding Anaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano are heating up as the March 7 trade deadline draws closer in the coming months.
The 30-year-old winger, who is in the final year of his contract with a $3.65 million cap hit, has re-emerged as a trade target for contenders, according to The Athletic’s Eric Stephens.
Vatrano has been a consistent contributor for Anaheim this season, recently recording seven goals and 10 points in an 11-game stretch. His strong play, including a recent three-point performance against the Winnipeg Jets, has made him an attractive option for teams looking to add a reliable scorer with playoff experience.

Though Vatrano's name came up in trade rumors last season, the Ducks chose to keep him. However, with his impending free agency, the situation is different this year.
Ducks general manager Pat Verbeek is reportedly interested in re-signing Vatrano to a deal that fits the team’s long-term plans, but the winger’s recent performance and value on the trade market could lead Anaheim to reconsider.
Vatrano, who has often played alongside Troy Terry and Ryan Strome on the Ducks’ top line, continues to emphasize his focus on playing a simple, effective game. "You don't got to worry about scoring goals," Vatrano said. "You gotta worry about the things that get you scoring goals."

As the Ducks remain near the bottom of the Pacific Division standings, Vatrano’s leadership and steady production have helped stabilize a young roster.
His teammates, including Terry, view him as an important presence in the locker room. "He’s a big part of this locker room," Terry said, noting Vatrano’s strong two-way play and work ethic.
While Anaheim would like to keep Vatrano as part of their rebuilding process, his performance and affordable cap hit make him an enticing asset for teams in the playoff race.
