NHL Rumors: 3 Blue Jackets Who Could Be Traded Next

The Columbus Blue Jackets recently made a big move, trading David Jiricek to the Minnesota Wild. The Blue Jackets are likely not done yet, as they have an array of trade candidates heading toward the deadline. Due to this, let's discuss three Blue Jackets players who could be moved next.

Ivan Provorov

Provorov has been talked about often in the rumor mill, and it is understandable. He is in the final season of his contract, so he will be a very valuable trade chip for the Blue Jackets later this season. Teams looking for a top-four defenseman will undoubtedly target Provorov, as he provides a bit of everything from the point.

Sean Kuraly

Kuraly is another pending UFA who could get plenty of attention as we get closer to the trade deadline. The veteran forward would be a perfect addition for a playoff team looking to improve their bottom six and penalty kill. In 24 games this season, he has two goals, six points, 48 hits, and a plus-4 rating.

Kevin Labanc

Labanc could be another Blue Jackets player who generates some interest near the deadline. He has an easily affordable $775,000 cap hit and is quietly having a solid campaign. In 19 games, the 28-year-old winger has 10 points, so he is providing some much-needed secondary offensive production.
