These players, all nearing the end of their contracts, could attract a lot of interest as teams look to solidify their blue lines.

Rasmus Andersson of the Calgary Flames is a top target, carrying a $4.55 million cap hit and logging over 24 minutes of ice time per game.
With 15 points in 31 games and a six-team no-trade clause, Andersson’s offensive ability and manageable salary make him an ideal fit for contenders seeking a reliable, all-around defender.
Ivan Provorov of the Columbus Blue Jackets offers a different appeal, with an expiring $6.725 million contract and a well-rounded game that makes him an attractive rental or long-term option.
While Provorov has shown interest in staying in Columbus, his trade value may prove too enticing for the Blue Jackets to pass up.

Mike Matheson of the Montreal Canadiens and Mario Ferraro of the San Jose Sharks are less certain to be moved but remain intriguing possibilities.
Matheson, a cornerstone for the Canadiens, brings leadership and strong two-way play, but Montreal would likely demand a substantial return to part ways with him.
Ferraro, on the other hand, appears more likely to be dealt as San Jose rebuilds. With no trade protection and a $3.25 million salary, Ferraro offers affordability and versatility.
Proteau notes, “We’ll be surprised if Ferraro finishes the season as a Shark,” noting the likelihood of his departure.
