The Stars just moved Tyler Seguin to LTIR due to hip surgery, and Seguin won't be available for roughly 4-to-6 months. The Penguins, while currently on a winning streak, are a team to watch regarding blockbuster trades as president Kyle Dubas is trying to make his roster younger, while staying competitive in the Eastern Conference.
As Robinson mentions, Malkin has a no-movement clause and has to agree to any trade. In 27 games this season, the 38-year-old veteran forward has scored six goals and 24 points.
Malkin is signed through the 2025-26 season at $6.1 million AAV. As it stands Dec.4, the Stars have a projected $6.5 million in deadline cap space.
