Sabres coach Lindy Ruff blasts his team after 5-2 loss to Utah
The Buffalo Sabres might just be the biggest mess in the NHL. At this very moment, they might just be the biggest mess in professional sports.
From GM Kevyn Adams coming out this week to admit nobody wants to play in Buffalo, to the team struggling on the ice, to now head coach Lindy Ruff getting in on the party. The Sabres lost 5-2 on Saturday night and it wasn't the fact that they lost that pissed Ruff off, it was how they played and the team's lack of execution.
Ruff caught up to reporters after the game and didn't mince any words. "Mentally, this is one of the weakest games I've seen where you go offside that number of times. You don't execute the small plays. ... The execution part, and us executing at a high level, was not good."

Sabres winger Jason Zucker didn't feel the passion was lacking against Utah, but did admit the execution side of things was no where to be found.

A lot of their frustration is geared towards their mistakes and lack of execution. Lindy Ruff described the game as one of the weakest mentally that he's seen, while Jason Zucker pointed out that the issue isn't a lack of passion, but rather… pic.twitter.com/yIqBtqHjPR
The Sabres host the Detroit Red Wings on Monday and the New York Rangers Wednesday, as the team looks to get back on track before someone is fired.
