3 Potential Trade Destinations for Canucks' J.T Miller

The Vancouver Canucks are reportedly listening on trade offers for J.T Miller. There's been a ton of speculation based on Miller's relationship with the organization, and specifically with Elias Pettersson, and recently the trade chatter has picked up in a major way.

Here's three potential trade destinations for Miller:

New York Rangers

The Rangers want to shake things up in a major way, and the Canucks are desperate for defensemen. Perhaps K'Andre Miller is involved? Miller's very familiar with New York, originally a 2011 first-round pick, he spent parts of six seasons with the organization. The 31-year-old Miller is making $8-million AAV, through the 2029-30 season. How much cap space to the Rangers have right now? Just over $8 million. Keep an eye on these two teams as their wants and needs could be aligning before March 7.

Columbus Blue Jackets

Miller has a full no-movement clause, but would he welcome a return to Ohio? The Blue Jackets have the cap space to easily add Miller to their mix, and they've been playing much better of late, currently just two points out of a playoff spot in the East. Ivan Provorov and Kent Johnson for Miller?

Pittsburgh Penguins

What about Erik Karlsson heading west? Or a package around Marcus Pettersson and Drew O'Connor, ++. President Kyle Dubas is known to make some bold moves, and with Jim Rutherford and Patrik Allvin knowing the Penguins' roster better than most, there's certainly a small level of potential. Again, it's all going to come down to where Miller wants to approve, and playing alongside Sidney Crosby for a few years, could be a decent set up.
