Blackhawks Rumors: Trade Returns Chicago Could Get For Two Key Players
Both players offer appeal to contending teams, with the Blackhawks likely to secure at least third-round picks in return.
Hall, a former MVP, continues to generate interest despite a recent dip in production, as he remains on pace for a 20-goal season.
According to Scott Powers of The Athletic, “Hall is the likeliest Blackhawks player to appeal to contending teams at the deadline,” particularly for his playoff experience and ability to produce as a secondary scorer.

Ryan Donato has also become a valuable piece in Chicago’s lineup, earning praise for his consistent effort and versatile playing style.
Playing on a modest $2 million contract, Donato has proven himself capable of filling various roles effectively, including playing alongside young standout Connor Bedard.
Daily Faceoff described Donato’s season as “impactful and competitive,” noting his career-best performance has made him a reliable and affordable option for teams seeking forward depth.
He is expected to bring a third- or fourth-round pick, with salary retention potentially increasing his trade value.

Though limited in their ability to retain salary due to prior commitments, the Blackhawks could see these trades as opportunities to capitalize on veteran players while paving the way for younger talent.
Since joining the Blackhawks, the 33-year-old Hall has recorded 10 goals and 26 total points across 53 games played.
The 28-year-old Donato is having a nice season thus far, putting up 13 goals and 24 points over 42 games played.
