Senators Reveal Brutal Injury Update on Nick Cousins
It was an ugly knee-on-knee collision that saw the Ottawa Senators' Nick Cousins slam into Toronto Maple Leafs rookie Jacob Quillan (who was playing his first NHL game).
The end result, the Senators have announced, is a serious knee injury for Cousins, that will keep him out up to two months.

The violent, full-speed collision happened midway through the first period of Saturday night's game.
Quillan limped back to the bench, but then shook it off and stayed in the game. Cousins had to be helped off the ice and didn't return. Quillan, however, would be relegated to the injured group at Leafs practice on Tuesday.
There's plenty of debate about who was to blame for the knee-on-knee, and Cousins does have a history of "questionable" plays, but in this case, it's up for debate on who's to blame.
Leafs head coach Craig Berube thought Cousins should have been penalized.
“That was a tough hit. I didn't understand how they all missed that,” said Berube post-game. “To me, that's a knee all day long."
Senators head coach Travis Green, on the other hand, would say, “It’s just an unfortunate play. Two guys kind of hit each other knee-on-knee."
The 31-year-old Cousins, coming off a Stanley Cup last season with the Florida Panthers, is in his first season in Ottawa, and in 47 games, has five goals and eight assists for 13 points alongside 39 penalty minutes.
It was a rough week for Cousins, who also, though not nearly as serious, had Brad Marchand of the Boston Bruins actually choke him with his bare hand just a couple of days earlier.
