3 Potential Trade Destinations For Utah HC's Nick Bjugstad
The Utah Hockey Club currently does not have a playoff spot with the NHL trade deadline rapidly approaching. Due to this, there is an expectation that they will sell off some of their pending unrestricted free agents at the deadline, and Nick Bjugstad is one of their most notable ones.
Due to this, let's look at three potential landing spots for Bjugstad now.
New Jersey Devils
The Devils are expected to add to their bottom six before the deadline passes, so they could be a team to watch when it comes to Bjugstad. He could slot nicely as their new fourth-line center, but he also can play the wing, so he would fit virtually anywhere in New Jersey's bottom six if acquired.
Colorado Avalanche
The Avalanche should be aiming to strengthen their forward depth at the deadline, so Bjugstad could grab their attention. It is no secret that their bottom six needs some help, and Bjugstad would give them that if acquired. Furthermore, he would also give them another possible option to consider for their penalty kill because of his defensive skill.
Florida Panthers
A reunion between the Panthers and Bjugstad could also make sense. They are likely going to want to add another bottom-six forward before the deadline passes, and Bjustad's versatility would make him a solid option. He would give their fourth line a boost but also could move up the lineup if needed.
