3 Potential Trade Destinations For Canadiens' Jake Evans

Montreal Canadiens forward Jake Evans has been the subject of trade rumors for much of this season. They are only picking up as the deadline gets near, as Evans and the Habs are not close on a contract extension.

With this, let's look at three potential landing spots for Evans.

Washington Capitals

The Capitals have been connected to Evans in the past, and it would not be surprising in the slightest if they made a push for him again. They could use more secondary scoring in their bottom six, and Evans provides just that. In addition, he would give them another valuable option for their penalty kill because of his steady defensive play.

Los Angeles Kings

The Kings have been on the hunt to add another center, so Evans could undoubtedly grab their attention. He would be a nice upgrade to their bottom six and could also move up and down the lineup because of his versatility. Overall, he would be a solid addition to a Kings forward group that needs more depth production.

New Jersey Devils

It is not a secret that the Devils have an interest in Evans, so they are a clear team to watch in the sweepstakes. He would be a clear option for their 3C role, as he would be an upgrade over players like Erik Haula and Justin Dowling.
