3 Potential Trade Destinations For Kraken's Jamie Oleksiak
The Seattle Kraken are preparing to be sellers in what has been a disappointing 2024-25 season. Defenseman Jamie Oleksiak has been creating chatter in the rumor mill, and it is understandable with playoff teams always looking for big blueliners. Because of this, let's go over three potential landing spots for him.
Dallas Stars
The Stars are expected to look to add to their defense before the deadline passes. While they already acquired Cody Ceci, it would smart for them to add another left-shot blueliner, especially with Miro Heiskanen out month-to-month. Oleksiak is a player they know well and could slot nicely on either their second or third pairing.
Winnipeg Jets
Adding another team who could be in the mix for Oleksiak as we continue to get closer to the deadline are the Winnipeg Jets. The left side of their defense could use a boost, and Oleksiak would provide them with just that. He would provide them with a clear option for their second pairing and would be an obvious choice for their penalty kill.
Edmonton Oilers
The Oilers could use a hard-nosed stay-at-home defenseman in their top four, so a player like Oleksiak could be a nice fit in their lineup, too. He has experience playing the right side, which is something the Oilers would benefit improving. Thus, it would be understandable if they made a push for the 6-foot-7 blueliner.
