The Vancouver Canucks recently made a big addition to their blueline, acquiring defenseman Marcus Pettersson from the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, with this, the Canucks have now made blueliner Carson Soucy available for the trade.

Soucy has had a tough year with the Canucks, posting two goals, six points, and a minus-15 rating. While this is the case, there should be interest in him, as he is a big top-four defenseman when playing at his best. Thus, let's look at three teams that could look to acquire him.

Dallas Stars

It is not a secret that the Stars are looking to improve their blueline, even after recently acquiring Cody Ceci from the San Jose Sharks. A player like Soucy could very well get their attention, as they could use another shutdown defenseman who can play big minutes.
