Breaking: Shocking Report Emerges on Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk Injury
A shocking report from insider Renaud Lavoie of TVA on Saturday night suggests that there's fear that Florida Panthers' star Matthew Tkachuk's season could be over.
Renaud Lavoie is suggesting there's some concern that Mathew Tkachuk's season might be over. He did not confirm it, just said "we're waiting for important medical results, we're hearing his year might be over, we don't want it to be, but there's some concern." https://t.co/sX0EOAVrV5

Tkachuk, part of the heart and soul of Team USA, was injured during the 4 Nations tournament, and though he tried to play in the Final against Canada, was only able to be on the ice for 6:47 before rooting the team on from the bench the rest of the way in their 3-2 overtime loss.
Lavoie says that the next few days are "very, very, very important" as the Panthers await further medical results, but he says there are concerns the injury could be season-ending.
"We're waiting for important medical results, we're hearing his year might be over, we don't want it to be, but there's some concern," said Lavoie in the report.
This would be a crushing blow to the defending Stanley Cup champion Panthers, as well as to all the feel-good afterglow of the 4 Nations event itself. As great as it was, with all the attention it brought to the game of hockey around the world, will teams in the future balk at sending their best players?
Tkachuk joins Shea Theodore, the key Vegas Golden Knights defenseman who broke his wrist in the tournament, as devastating injuries suffered in the event.
Tkachuk has 22 goals and 57 points and 55 games this season for the Panthers, and was a team leader in their run to the Cup championship last spring.
