Canucks Rumors: One Team "Makes Loads Of Sense" To Trade For Brock Boeser
Ates noted that Winnipeg was high on Boeser during the 2015 NHL Draft and nearly selected him before taking Kyle Connor.
“It makes loads of sense to me that the Jets would still be interested in Boeser, whether on the trade market right now or as an unrestricted free agent this summer,” Ates wrote.
With Winnipeg looking to bolster its second-line offense, Boeser’s scoring touch and familiarity with Jets management make him a logical target. His 10-team no-trade list is not expected to be a major obstacle.

Boeser, 27, is coming off a 40-goal season and remains a consistent finisher who could provide an immediate scoring boost.
Winnipeg’s second line has struggled with consistency, as Cole Perfetti continues to adjust to a top-six role and Vladislav Namestnikov is better suited for the bottom six.
Boeser’s presence alongside Nikolaj Ehlers would add offensive firepower and improve Winnipeg’s power play. While the Jets have also been linked to centers such as Brock Nelson and Ryan O’Reilly, Boeser’s ability to consistently put up points (418 points in 525 career games) could make him an ideal fit for a team looking to solidify its forward group.

The Canucks’ approach to the deadline remains uncertain, but if Boeser is available, Winnipeg could be in a strong position to acquire him.
While other high-profile forwards such as Elias Pettersson and Mathew Barzal have been mentioned in speculation, Boeser is seen as a more realistic target.
If the Jets believe he can sustain his offensive production in their system, he could be the piece that really strengthens their playoff push.
