Islanders Rumors: Kyle Palmieri Linked To 3 Teams

The New York Islanders have been red-hot as of late, winning eight of their last 10 games. However, even with this being the case, they are still three points behind the Tampa Bay Lightning for the final spot in the wild card standings. With this, the Islanders could be sellers, and pending unrestricted free agent Kyle Palmieri has created a lot of chatter in the rumor mill.

Palmieri is beginning to generate interest, too, as The Fourth Period reported that the Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, and Colorado Avalanche are linked to the veteran winger.

It is no secret that the Kings could use another skilled right winger, and Palmieri would give them that. When looking at their group, he could be a perfect fit in their top six and would also be a clear option for their power play. The Kings need more offense, and Palmieri could provide just that if acquired.

While the Canucks recently traded J.T. Miller, they have not given up on their season, as evidenced by them acquiring Marcus Pettersson and Drew O'Connor from the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, it is apparent that they could use another top-six forward, so it makes sense that Palmieri is on their radar.

As for the Avalanche, they undoubtedly need more secondary scoring. Colorado's big-time stars always produce, but their offense tails off quickly after them. Thus, bringing in a player who had 30 goals just last season, like Palmieri, could be a good way to fix this ongoing issue.
