Kraken Make Significant Roster Move With Jordan Eberle
The Seattle Kraken have announced that team captain Jordan Eberle has been assigned to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Coachella Valley Firebirds, on a conditioning loan.
Eberle, 34, has not played since the Kraken's Nov. 14 matchup against the Chicago Blackhawks. The veteran forward has been sidelined with a pelvis injury, but with this conditioning loan, it appears that Eberle is getting closer to returning for the Kraken. Thus, this is big news for both the player and the team.

This is another major step in the right direction for Eberle. Before the 4 Nations Face-Off break, he had been participating in Kraken practices, and now this shows that he is continuing to make progress with his recovery.
If all goes right with Eberle during this conditioning loan and he does not suffer any setbacks, it is fair to wonder if he will be good to go for the Kraken's next matchup against the Florida Panthers on Feb. 22.
Eberle has appeared in 17 games this season with the Kraken, where he has six goals, 11 points, and a plus-3 rating. This is after he had 17 goals, 44 points, and a plus-1 rating in 78 games with the Kraken this past season.
Nevertheless, we will now need to wait and see how this conditioning loan goes for Eberle from here.
