Luke Schenn calls out the Nashville Predators: 'We literally can't score a goal'

Nashville Predators defenseman Luke Schenn was not happy with the team's recent 4-1 loss to the Florida Panthers, and the veteran blueliner didn't hold back after the game.

The Preds came into the season with high hopes to contend for a Stanley Cup, and so far it's been anything but a successful season. Schenn met with the media after the loss to the Panthers, and made some interesting comments.

"I don't think I've ever been a part of a group like this that literally can't score a goal." - Schenn said via Emma Lingan of The Hockey News. Schenn's shot at his team came after the 35-year-old d-man played 17:02 of ice-time against the Panthers, laying four hits and blocking one shot.

Schenn's been in the news lately as there's reports him and his brother Brayden of the St. Louis Blues would prefer to be traded to the same team ahead of the March 7 trade deadline. So far, the Maple Leafs are have deemed extremely interested in Brayden, but without much cap space to work with, adding both would take a mini-miracle.

The Preds are now 20-30-7 on the season, and third-last in the Western Conference, including a record of 2-8-0 in their last 10 games. Look for GM Barry Trotz to try and reshape his roster ahead of the trade deadline, as the current mix of players in Nashville is frankly, not good enough. Just ask Schenn.
