Montreal Canadiens Announce Big David Reinbacher News
Montreal Canadiens top prospect David Reinbacher has missed the first four and a half months of the season after undergoing knee surgery. However, the 20-year-old defenseman is now officially getting his season started.
The Canadiens have announced that they have assigned Reinbacher to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Laval Rocket. This indicates that the young blueliner is good to get back into game action.

Reinbacher is a key part of the Canadiens' long-term plans, so it is significant that he is finally ready to go. The youngster will look to make a big impact down in the AHL with Laval. If he does, it could open the door for him to receive a call-up to the Canadiens' NHL roster in the near future.
Reinbacher was selected by the Canadiens as the fifth overall pick of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. He appeared in 11 games this past season with the Rocket, where he had two goals and five points. He also played in 35 games with EHC Kloten of the Swiss National League, posting one goal and 11 points.
Nevertheless, it will now be very fascinating to see how Reinbacher performs with the AHL squad this season from here.
