Montreal Canadiens Announce Brutal Kirby Dach Injury News
The Montreal Canadiens have announced that forward Kirby Dach will be out for the remainder of the 2024-25 season after undergoing surgery on his right knee.
The Canadiens also announced that Dach should be good to go for the start of the 2025-26 campaign.
L’attaquant Kirby Dach a subi une opération au genou droit. L'opération a été réalisée avec succès par le Dr Thierry Pauyo à Montréal et une guérison complète est attendue avant le début de la prochaine saison.

Dach's last game for the Canadiens was on Feb. 22 against the Ottawa Senators, where he had two penalty minutes in 13:43 of ice time. On Feb. 24, the Canadiens announced that Dach was dealing with a lower-body injury, and now we know the severity of it with this update.
Dach, 24, appeared in 57 games this season with the Canadiens, where he had 10 goals, 22 points, and a minus-29 rating. This was after he had two assists in just two games with the Canadiens back during the 2023-24 season.
This news is undoubtedly brutal for Dach. The 6-foot-4 center's 2023-24 campaign notably also ended due to a right knee injury that required surgery.
In 269 career NHL games over six seasons split between the Chicago Blackhawks and Canadiens, Dach has 43 goals, 78 assists, 121 points, and 245 hits.
