The Blues have acquired 25-year-old undrafted forward Corey Andonovski from the Pens in exchange for a former sixth-round selection by St. Louis, 24-year-old forward Mathias Laferriere. Neither player has suited up in the NHL as of yet.
Andonovski has played 27 games this season with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, scoring three goals with five points. Last season, the physical 6'1", 210-pound right-winger totaled 30 points in 62 games, with 99 penalty minutes. He has 54 points on 18 goals and 36 assists in 157 career AHL games, with 182 PIM.
In Laferriere, the Pens get a more creative right-winger back who averaged well over a point-per-game in his final three QMJHL seasons. This year, he has recorded 10 points in 33 games for the Springfield Thunderbirds.
He was drafted in the sixth round, 169th overall, of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He's totaled 70 points in 207 career AHL games.
Both players will report to their respective new AHL homes.
