NHL Rumors: 3 Ducks Trade Candidates For 2025 Deadline

The Anaheim Ducks have taken a step forward this season. After having a 24-50-5 record and 59 points last season, they currently sport a 24-24-6 record and have 54 points. Overall, they are heading in the right direction, but given where they are in the standings, they are still likely to be sellers this season.

Due to this, let's discuss three Ducks players who could be on the move by the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline.

Trevor Zegras

Zegras' is the Ducks' top trade candidate. The 23-year-old forward has created chatter in the rumor mill since last season, and a change of scenery may do him good. In 32 games this season, the 2019 ninth-overall pick has six goals and 15 points. While it has been a down year for the Bedford, New York native, he should still generate a ton of interest, as he has high upside and is a young top-six forward.

Brian Dumoulin

Contenders love to add steady defensemen before the deadline, so Dumoulin could get dealt by March 7. He is a pending unrestricted free agent on a rebuilding Ducks team, so he should grab the attention of contenders. He can play both sides, handle top-four minutes, and kills penalties, so he would be a nice addition to a playoff team.

Ryan Strome

Strome's name has come up in the rumor mill this season, and it makes sense. Teams looking for help in their middle six could make a push for Strome, as he produces solid secondary offensive production. He would also be more than a rental for any interested clubs, as he is signed until the end of the 2026-27 season.
