NHL Rumors: 3 Penguins Who Could Be Traded By Deadline
It has been a tough season for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Due to this, they have already traded both Marcus Pettersson and Drew O'Connor. More moves are expected to be on the way for the Metropolitan Division club, so let's go over three more players who could end up being traded now.
Rickard Rakell
Rakell is a prime trade candidate as we get closer to the 2025 NHL trade deadline. He is in the middle of a fantastic season, and he is generating plenty of interest because of it. Teams looking for more scoring in their top six will surely have Rakell on their radar, especially when noting that he can play both on the wing and down the middle.
Matt Grzelcyk
The Penguins trading Grzelcyk certainly can't be ruled out. He is a pending unrestricted free agent who is having a career year offensively, so he could generate a good amount of interest at the deadline. He also has a good amount of playoff experience, which certainly adds to his appeal. Thus, he could be a decent rental for a playoff club's bottom pairing.
Anthony Beauvillier
Playoff teams are always on the hunt for secondary scoring, so a player like Beauvillier could also generate some interest. He is a pending UFA who the Penguins likely would be open to move for the right price. In 56 games this season, he has 12 goals to go along with 18 points.
