NHL Rumors: 3 Rangers Who Could Be Traded Next
The New York Rangers have made multiple changes to their roster, but they are likely not done yet. The expectation is that they will continue to retool their group before the 2025 NHL trade deadline is here. Because of it, let's go over three Rangers who could be traded by March 7.
Ryan Lindgren
Lindgren is a player who many expect the Rangers to move by the deadline. The Rangers currently do not hold a playoff spot, and the left-shot defenseman is a pending unrestricted free agent. Teams looking for a shutdown defenseman who kills penalties and can play top-four minutes should be in the mix for Lindgren.
Reilly Smith
Smith is another pending unrestricted free agent who has the potential to be dealt by the deadline. Contenders could be interested in adding him to their middle six, as he has plenty of playoff experience and can still provide decent secondary offensive production. In 54 games this season, he has 10 goals, 26 points, and a plus-1 rating.
K'Andre Miller
Miller has been creating chatter in the rumor mill this season. Unlike Lindgren and Smith, Miller is a pending restricted free agent, so he will remain under team control this offseason. However, with the way the Rangers' season has gone, there are rumblings that they want to change up their blueline, making Miller a clear player to watch for the March 7 deadline.
