NHL Rumors: 3 Trade Targets For The Calgary Flames

The Calgary Flames made a big move earlier this month when they acquired Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee from the Philadelphia Flyers. This proved that they are looking to get better now, and they are expected to be busy at the trade deadline because of it.

Due to this, let's look at three players who the Flames could look to bring in at the deadline now.

Casey Mittelstadt

It would not be particularly surprising if the Flames made a push for Mittelstadt. The Colorado Avalanche are willing to move him, as the fit just has not been there. If the Flames added Mittelstadt, he would give their top six a nice boost. This is especially so when noting that he can play both down the middle and on the wing. He is also signed until the end of 2026-27, so he would be more than a rental.

Dylan Cozens

The Flames have been heavily linked to Cozens this season, so they are a clear team to watch in the sweepstakes. Adding a right-shot center is something the Flames want to do, and Cozens would give them just that in their top six. In addition, he would not only give the Flames more skill but also physicality, as the 6-foot-3 forward has 121 hits in 54 games this season with the Buffalo Sabres.

Carson Soucy

Soucy has been linked to the Flames this season, and it makes sense. When looking at their current defensive group, they could use a hard-hitting, stay-at-home defenseman on their left side. In addition, he would have a good shot of receiving top-four minutes and penalty kill time if acquired.
