NHL Rumors: Canucks & Wild Becoming Potential Trade Partners
Vancouver Canucks forward Brock Boeser has been creating plenty of chatter with the 2025 NHL trade deadline rapidly approaching. It is understandable, as he has yet to sign a contract extension with the Canucks and is a pending unrestricted free agent.
When looking at potential suitors around the NHL for Boeser, the Minnesota Wild certainly stand out.
The Wild have been connected to Boeser multiple times over the last few years, and there is no question that they could use a sniper like him in their top six. If they acquired him, he would slot perfectly on their second line and would also be a clear option for their power play.
The Wild are in a prime position to add to their roster right now, too. At the time of this writing, they have a 34-19-4 record and are third in the Central Division standings. They also have a four-point lead over the fourth-place Colorado Avalanche and have two games in hand. Thus, their playoff hopes are very good right now, and bringing in a player like Boeser would be huge for them.
Boeser has played in 50 games this season with the Canucks, where he has 18 goals, 17 assists, and 35 points. Adding this kind of production would be significant for the Wild, and we will need to wait and see if they can swing a deal to acquire him from here.
