Rangers' J.T Miller on being traded from Canucks: 'I'm glad it's done'

J.T Miller is happy he doesn't have to hear any more trade rumors. The newest New York Ranger potted two goals in his first game back with the franchise, and spoke after the game about all the drama that led to the big trade out of Vancouver.

It's obvious, Miller is happy to put the trade behind him, move on from the Canucks, and is happy to once again, be a Ranger. "It was a team effort to find a different place, obviously a special place here in New York, Miller told NHL.com's Amalie Benjamin. "Couldn't be happier to be here now."

"It's hard. I've had a long year personally. Unfortunately that goes by the wayside when you're trying to win hockey games. It's a business, right? It got a little ugly there at the end, but I'm glad it’s done and happy to be here."

Miller wanted to be a Ranger, and one of the many reasons, to reunite with childhood best friend Vincent Trocheck. The two played together growing up, and Trocheck spoke about once again playing with his best friend. "He's my best friend in the world," Trocheck said. "I think this had been a pipe dream for -10 years in the making, I feel like."

If Canucks fans aren't happy with the return for Miller, don't be. When a player has a no-movement clause, and everyone in the league knows a trade is coming, any leverage disappears very quickly.
