Report: Calgary Flames rejecting trade offers on 3 players

The Calgary Flames are open for business, however, don't bother asking about a trio of their players.

According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, Flames' GM Craig Conroy has made it clear to opposing executives, the likes of Nazem Kadri, Rasmus Andersson and Mackenzie Weegar are not available in trade conversations. Both Kadri and Weegar are signed long term, meanwhile Andersson has been drawing a ton of interest as he only has one season left on his current contract. Conroy mentioned he's interested in extending the Swedish blueliner.

Kadri has recorded 35 points in 51 games this season, he's signed for $7 million AAV through the 2028-29 season and has a full no-movement clause. There was some reports he'd be an option for the Toronto Maple Leafs, but we can all cross that off the list now.

As for Weegar, he's signed for $6.2 million AAV through the 2030-31 season, meanwhile, Andersson is under contract for next season as well, at $4.5 million, and will be looking for a raise this summer.

The Flames have been active on the trade market, they have a whopping $44 million in cap space, and a GM in Craig Conroy, who isn't afraid of making a bold move, and believes his team has warranted adding some pieces this season.
