Report: Division Rival "Would Love" To Land Canucks' Brock Boeser
With the March 7 trade deadline approaching, the Kings are searching for offensive reinforcements, and Boeser’s scoring ability—especially on the power play—makes him an attractive target.
The 27-year-old winger is coming off a career-best 40-goal season and has remained productive this year with 18 goals and 35 points in 50 games.
However, a trade between these division rivals remains unlikely before the deadline, making Boeser a more realistic summer target if he reaches free agency.

Boeser is in the final year of his three-year, $19.95 million contract, and Vancouver has yet to offer him a long-term extension.
CHEK’s Rick Dhaliwal recently reported, "Contract talks have not been close the last few weeks, but I was told this morning, ‘don’t rule anything out, including trading Boeser at the deadline; that’s when deals get done.’”
The Canucks, currently in a playoff position, face a tricky decision—keep Boeser for a postseason run or move him now to avoid losing him for nothing.
Boeser has expressed a strong desire to stay in Vancouver, saying, "I've said how much I love it here and I'm more than willing to come back," but if the Canucks aren’t willing to meet his demands, teams like the Kings will be waiting.

A trade deadline move would give Boeser time to adjust in Los Angeles, but the Kings have cap concerns that complicate an in-season deal.
His $6.65 million cap hit would require the Kings to move salary, possibly involving a young player like Alex Laferriere or a defensive prospect such as Brandt Clarke.
If they wait until July 1, competition for his services will be fierce, driving up his price. Los Angeles has been searching for a high-end scoring winger, and if Boeser becomes available, the Kings could make a serious push to bring him to California.
